Clear Float Glass
Clear float glass produced by Poyraz Cam is manufactured to high quality standards using advanced float technology. Created by floating molten glass on a bed of molten tin, this product offers a smooth surface and superior optical clarity, making it the primary glass type for architectural and industrial applications.
During production, the glass batch is melted at approximately 1600°C and then poured onto a tin bath at around 1100°C. Here, both surfaces of the glass are perfectly smoothed and aligned in parallel, while its thickness and ribbon width are precisely defined. Following controlled cooling to eliminate internal stresses, the glass is cut to the required dimensions and prepared for delivery.
Clear float glass offers a wide range of applications, from architectural structures to the automotive industry. While it can be used directly as produced, it can also undergo processes such as lamination, tempering, coating, or mirroring to provide additional features including safety, solar control, thermal insulation, and sound insulation.
Usage Advantages
- It delivers superior quality through modern production technology.
- It serves as a fundamental product for all glass applications.
- Its transparent structure provides high light transmittance.
- It offers continuous and uninterrupted supply in various thicknesses and dimensions.
- Easily accessible through an extensive distribution network across Turkey.
Areas of Application
Poyraz Cam Clear Float Glass can be transformed into safety and security glass, thermal control glass, solar control glass, noise control glass, combined thermal and solar control glass, and decorative glass solutions through secondary processes such as edge finishing, bending, tempering, partial tempering, lamination, coating, double glazing, and mirroring.
Thus, it provides extensive application opportunities across numerous fields, particularly in construction, interior design, automotive, household appliances, agriculture, and energy industries.
