Poyraz Glass Tentesol is our reflective solar control glass. It can be used as a single pane or within Isıcam Systems, and when combined with Low-E glass, it provides not only solar control but also thermal insulation, further enhancing energy savings. By limiting the entry of solar heat into interiors, it reduces cooling loads and air-conditioning costs, while balancing brightness to create comfortable living and working environments. Its reflective structure provides one-way vision (mirror effect) during the day, though this effect reverses at night. In curtain wall applications, it conceals columns, beams, spandrels, and service spaces, ensuring façade integrity; depending on the coating position, color is more prominent on the second surface, while reflectivity is stronger on the first surface. It is preferred for commercial buildings, office towers, curtain walls, and shopfronts that require high solar gain and brightness control, as well as for residential projects seeking aesthetics and energy efficiency. Thanks to its hard coating, it can be safely stored for long periods and is suitable for tempering, heat strengthening, bending, enamel printing, and lamination. However, as with all solar control glasses, Tentesol carries a risk of thermal breakage; therefore, tempered or heat-strengthened versions are recommended, and in laminated production, all layers should be tempered or heat-strengthened. Color options include Silver, Green, Smoke, Bronze, and Blue.
Poyraz Glass Tentesol Reflective is produced with a reflective and durable pyrolytic hard coating applied on clear or tinted flat glass. This special coating provides an aesthetic façade appearance while also delivering effective solar control. With its low U-value, it minimizes heat loss in winter, while its low solar energy transmittance prevents overheating in summer. Thanks to its high daylight transmittance, natural lighting is preserved; at the same time, its exterior reflectance controls glare, creating comfortable living and working environments. The reflective feature creates a mirror effect on façades, offering a sleek and unified look while concealing columns and service spaces, thus adding aesthetic value to modern projects. When used as tempered or heat-strengthened, resistance against thermal breakage increases; in laminated applications, safety performance is further enhanced. Its hard-coating technology allows long-term storage without performance loss. It is particularly ideal for plazas, office buildings, curtain walls, and modern residential projects, contributing to aesthetic façade design along with energy efficiency. Performance values are based on laboratory measurements and may vary depending on application conditions.
